Fiction Writing
I've written more than sixty books in several genres, including fantasy, adventure, romance, and paranormal. Here are a few samples of my work, showing different writing styles, characters, and types of stories.
Screenwriting
Primary Pals — Living Scriptures
Screenwriter, Season 1 (2018)
I wrote three episodes of Primary Pals for Living Scriptures: Courage, Honesty, and Obedience. The series uses stories, music, and audience participation to teach children important lessons.
Featured Script: Courage
When Billy gets nervous about speaking in front of his church class, his friends use stories and music to help him find his courage.

Stolen Luck
View PDFOriginal Television Pilot Adapted from My Published Novel
I wrote this pilot for a Disney writing fellowship, adapting the first book in my Luck Series for television. Since the novel begins with Megan trying to write about her worst day ever, I created new scenes showing what her life was like before the story began.
Megan seems to have all the luck in the world, but her good fortune is causing problems with her friends and family. When a leprechaun shows up at her door, she’s about to discover there’s more to her luck than she ever imagined.

View PDFChristmas Romance Screenplay Adapted from my Published Novel
Inspired by the Christmas carol I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day, this story follows David and Lily, a single mother fighting to keep her family's diner open.
David has lost his love for Christmas and isn't sure how to move forward without his wife. Lily is doing everything she can to give her children a happy Christmas, even as the bills pile up. When their paths cross, they begin to discover that sometimes helping someone else is the first step toward healing.

A Match Made in Heaven
View PDFOriginal Television Pilot — Supernatural Comedy
After an unexpected accident cuts her life short, sixteen-year-old Izzy Sanchez discovers that Heaven has a job opening for a new Cupid. She's determined to use her assignment to help her friends find love, even if it means bending a few rules.
Heaven isn't quite what Izzy expected. Between navigating the strange workings of the afterlife and learning how not to break the rules, she has plenty to keep her busy.
Matchmaking is harder than she expected, and watching her friends move on without her might be harder still.
Editing & Editorial Experience
With more than a decade of experience in writing, editing, and publishing, I've worked with authors across multiple genres to strengthen their manuscripts and prepare them for publication. This includes formatting and cover creation as well.
My editorial work includes developmental editing, line editing, and proofreading. I focus on character consistency, dialogue, pacing, continuity, and preserving each author's unique voice. I try to teach while I edit so authors know how to fix those little edits on their own.
For this section, I have a before and after edit sample from a book I originally wrote in 2014.

Before
View PDFThis story was originally written in 2014, when I first got started with publishing. I recently pulled it back out again to see what needs to be fixed so I can continue on with the story.
The original manuscript reflects my writing style and experience at the time, before years of writing, editing, and working with other authors helped me develop my skills.
-
After
View PDFFor this sample, I went back to a manuscript I originally wrote in 2014 to demonstrate how my editing skills have developed over the years.
I've included the original version alongside my revised version, with tracked changes showing the edits I made to improve clarity, flow, and consistency while preserving the original story and voice.
